Wrapping up UTICamp 2020

 

The fifth UTICamp international translation conference was held in Ukraine from July 20th to 26th. Some participants attended the event remotely, but those who could met at the Meteorite campsite in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

 

 

The program included talks and presentation from leading industry specialists, a round table on calculating the prime cost of services, creative master classes, a concert, and an evening hangout by the fire.

 

 

Logrus IT CEO Leonid Glazychev and Logrus IT Ukraine Director Fedor Bezrukov gave a presentation entitled “Preparing for Post-Doom — Diversifying Business: Content Creation, Globalization, Game and Multimedia Localization, and More.”

 

 

Fedor also shared his experience creating and translating subtitles in a talk called “Transcription, Subtitles, Translation: Easier Than Ever.

The star of the conference was Simon the cat, who greeted attendees at the Logrus IT booth.

 

 

According to attendees, UTICamp 2020 was busy, productive, and intimate. Needless to say, the event’s success was possible thanks to its planners and everyone else who actively participated in the conference.
