A new Logrus subdivision called Logrus Ukraine was founded on February 15th, 2006.
Our primary motivation for opening this regional office was a single project: the localization of Microsoft's flagship software suite into Ukrainian. We had never translated such a large project into Ukrainian with such a short deadline before. In order to meet this challenge, we decided to establish a production office in a small local company that collaborated with Logrus International as a vendor.

The arrangements were made, and the office was opened on February 15th. Several other employees joined the company, including newcomers and localization pros. The “mother” company’s experience and technology helped us complete the project successfully, and the number of incoming jobs and other tasks continued to grow.

Just two years later, Logrus Ukraine had 30 employees and its own software testing and DTP departments. The regional office continued to expand, and its staff soon came to include vendor managers and sales specialists.

Logrus Ukraine now employs professional project managers, editors, terminologists, translators, DTP specialists, and vendor managers. Logrus Ukraine is still a leader on the Ukrainian localization market and is working hard to develop it, which is why we actively support and participate in the unique Ukrainian translation conference UTIC.
