Logrus IT CEO Leonid Glazychev was one of the main speakers at UTICamp 2021, which was held on July 19–25 in Ukraine. It was the sixth international translation conference hosted by InText.
Along with the head of Logrus IT’s Kiev branch Fedor Bezrukov, Leonid Glazychev gave two large presentations dedicated to contemporary issues in the field of translation and localization.
In the first presentation, entitled «Looking Beyond the Localization Sandbox: How to Measure the Quality of Almost Anything," Leonid talked about how to evaluate a translation or localization using the Quality Triangle method. The speaker’s second talk raised questions about fair pricing in the industry.
The conference was attended by hundreds of linguists from all over the world. Some of the attendees participated remotely, but those who could attend in person met at the Meteorite campground.
The conference’s program included not only presentations and talks by leading specialists in the industry, but also creative master classes, a concert, evening get-togethers by the fire, and contests. The photo contest was won by Yulia Zhuk, who took home a Lenovo Chromebook Duet.
As in previous years, Logrus IT was a gold sponsor of UTICamp 2021. According to feedback form attendees, the conference was intense, productive, and heartfelt, and much of the thanks for this goes to the hosts and everyone who actively participated in the program.
