ISO 17100:2015 is specifically designed for companies specializing in written translation. It verifies that the certified organization’s internal processes comply with industry standards and that the company delivers high-quality services.

As part of the certification process, the following aspects are evaluated:

• Approach to personnel management;
• Management of technical resources;
• Contract procedures between the service provider and clients;
• Project workflow;
• Competence of project managers, translators, and editors;
• Finalization and delivery of translations.

A key part of the certification process is an inspection audit, during which an independent expert assesses the company’s performance, makes recommendations for process optimization, and determines whether the organization qualifies for certification.
