Representatives of Logrus IT attended the 137th Canton Fair, China’s largest trade show for domestic and international goods. The event is taking place from April 15 to May 5 at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

This year, the impressive 1.55 million m2 venue is hosting representatives from over 30.000 Chinese and international companies, ranging from small and medium-sized businesses to major enterprises. In the spotlight this time are innovations in smart technologies and renewable energy, as well as environmentally conscious products.

Another key focus for the organizers is the development of digital commerce. In various conferences throughout the event, participants can learn about the features of this field, recent breakthroughs, and future prospects. The fair itself is keeping pace with this trend: alongside the in-person show at the Canton Complex, the organizers have also launched an online exhibition, running for a full six months—from March 16 to September 15.

This year’s fair has brought together importers and exporters of a wide range of products, from electronics and medical equipment to furniture, home and garden decor, as well as children’s toys and clothing. To help sellers and buyers from around the world connect, the organizers have launched a series of Trade Bridge events aimed at building bridges between suppliers and customers, encouraging new business relationships.

In today’s changing international market landscape, competition between manufacturers is intensifying. In particular, OEM and ODM enterprises that produce goods for foreign brands are being forced to find new ways to attract clients. One such approach is to offer significant added value at relatively low cost by translating user manuals into other languages. At present, most OEM and ODM manufacturers only provide documentation in Chinese. However, many of them produce similar products for various brands and could provide ready-made translations, at least into the main European languages—localized manuals would serve multiple clients at once. This eliminates the need for each customer to arrange separate translations, reducing their costs and increasing interest in collaboration.

Logrus IT offers technical translation and marketing localization services in over 120 languages, and our work has been repeatedly praised by leading global companies.
